I am really looking into Lehigh and I am considering ED. Chance me please and thank you?
I think you have a solid chance of being admitted ED. I think you can aim even higher than Lehigh, possibly including Ivies. There are many universities ranked higher than Lehigh that would likely be eager to admit you, either in spite of the low SAT or because they don’t require an SAT. Search for universities that don’t require an SAT and compare them to Lehigh. If you don’t go the ED route, you should definitely include some higher-ranked universities in the mix.
I’m sorry to burst your bubble @Jarb15, but mommyrocks’ comments are optimistic yet unrealistic.
Only 12.7% of applicants with SAT scores between 1,100 and 1,190 were accepted to Lehigh last year. Often these spots are reserved for athletes and other special cases. For an ivy like Yale, that number is ~2%. Also consider that you are in the lowest portion of the range. Of course, there is always a chance, but that chance, in this case, is certainly not “solid.”
mommyrocks is correct in that there are a few (four to be exact) national universities with flexible SAT policies that are higher ranked than Lehigh, namely:
Wake Forest
University of Rochester
Brandeis
NYU
However, you would need excellent AP or IB scores to prove your academic ability. If you are set on Lehigh I would apply ED.
