I just graduated high school and I was wondering, what am I considered when i'm filling out scholarships? A high school senior or college freshman?

You are now a college freshman. Congratulations!

It all depends on the scholarship, they often ask how much education you have completed. For instance, if you were applying for a scholarship for this fall that is only available to incoming freshmen you would still be considered a hs senior. Some might require that you be a college jr or sr, so if you had completed 2 full yrs of college but not yet started your jr year you would qualify for that scholarship.

And sometimes it depends upon the college you’ll be attending. At my son’s school, you’d be prefrosh and you wouldn’t be a freshman until after the first week of class & a period called rotation. Once the cannon sounds at his school after that first week you’d then be a freshman. My son right now who is studying for finals is finishing up his junior year but he’s considered a senior and the 4th year students who have already taken their finals and are just hanging around waiting for graduation are now ghosts and they’ve been ghosts since ditch day in May. Ah, traditions! (but of course this wouldn’t apply to scholarship applications).
