<p>I applied to Honors a few days ago but Dr. Sharpe said it’s a few weeks before we hear back for that. Also, UFE invitations should go out this week…</p>

<p>I think what Idinct means is that her son is scheduled to take the SAT IIs for his other schools, but may decide against needing them if his visit to Bama this weekend seals his choice.</p>

<p>M2CK, S applied on 8/7 and the scholarship was done on 8/11. What took so long was for the school to send the transcript. Bama received that on 9/24.</p>
<p>Question is the Engineering scholarship coming in a separate letter?</p>
<p>Yes…Engineering scholarships come from the CoE…</p>

<p>I took the SAT back in May. If you indicated Alabama as a score recipient when you registered, they should get them around the time you do. You can check your application status on mybama to see if they’ve gotten the scores yet.</p>
<p>My transcript didn’t arrive until two weeks after I sent my application, but I was accepted within a week once UA got it.</p>

<p>When did you have Collegeboard send your scores? They are electronically send…shouldn’t take long for Bama to receive.</p>
<p>Usually it’s the school transcript that delays things…high schools can be slow about those sometimes.</p>
<p>If i might add a piece of advice: to those waiting for your high school to send in transcripts and for juniors (for next year). Get to really know your guidance office staff. Find out which person is responsible for sending out the transcripts and ask for their advice. Let them know you respect the job they are doing and give them a personal note saying “thank you” when they do something for you. If you need a favor, ask nicely, let them know that you realize they have many students vying for their attention. At the end of the process (all your transcripts are sent in), a small token of gratitude will be greatly appreciated. Be sincere, it will go a long way towards a smooth paperwork transition.</p>
<p>I have a great relationship with my guidance counselor! she sent out my transcript on friday 10/15, and college board sent me a confirmation email that my scores were sent out on monday 10/11… UA has yet to receive either of them. transcript is understandable because it was sent in by mail which always takes a couple of days, but im worried about my SAT scores!</p>

<p>Scores are sent electronically, but they are uploaded by the school on certain dates. Bama lets a bunch accumulate and then uploads them all at one time - maybe once a week - or around the time the latest SAT scores are electronically sent. </p>
<p>It’s like sending someone an email with an attachment. The email gets sent, but until it’s opened by the recipient and the attachment is downloaded, the recipient seems not to have it - even though they really do…</p>

<p>I’m in, cuzzo! Trying to make sure my major was changed to Computer Science, though–not sure, I haven’t been notified although I put in a major change form a few weeks ago (I want to make sure it gets processed in time for a CoE $2500/yr scholarship).</p>

<p>My DD got her Presidential Scholarship award letter today. Although we knew she’d get it, since it’s based on SAT/GPA, it was still exciting for her. This is her first acceptance and is a very important one as she does not want to take on debt. She’s looking forward to visiting, not sure yet when that will be but it will happen!</p>
