Got accepted last week!! Im just so excited that I finally know I have somewhere to go no matter what.

Congrats, Woody!

My D’s transcripts were sent in a week ago. Was wondering if anyone could comment about how long it takes for transcripts to be entered / posted to myBama, and then obviously how long after that your decision came? We’re anxious in Illinois! :-)

Most likely, he’s considering it.

Dad2ILD: A couple of years ago, my son had his transcripts sent on a Monday. They were in the system by that Friday (this is in mid-October). He had a decision a week later.

I got my official letter in the mail today! I’m so excited! Now hopefully I’ll be able to visit the campus sometime soon… :)

I don’t think it will take long after they’ve posted that they have her transcripts…assuming that her stats are good (which they probably are.)

I imagine that you’ll hear by the beginning of November.

Don’t forget, you can find out early if you’re accepted on MyBama if the link for depositing shows up.

Hi everyone!

I (a high school senior) was just wondering what exactly the December 1 scholarship priority date means. I’m worried that if I don’t get my scholarship application (after my general admission application is done) finished in time, I might not be eligible for a NMSF scholarship.

On the UA website, [Entering Freshman Students - Undergraduate Scholarships - The University of Alabama](http://scholarships.ua.edu/freshmen/), it says that:

"Entering freshmen should apply for scholarships during the fall of their senior year in high school. A completed admissions application will need to be submitted to The University of Alabama before completing the scholarship application.

The scholarship priority date is December 1 (the application should be submitted online by Dec. 1 and any required materials sent by mail should be postmarked no later than Dec. 1).

In order to be considered for any scholarships you are eligible for as an incoming freshman, a completed scholarship application must be submitted online (this includes the r

my transcript was sent in last friday and was entered into mybama the following friday and i live in massachusetts if that helps!

Thanks M2CK and RL2011 … sounds like it should be posted soon. We’re visiting UA on Nov. 11, so it will be nice, I think, if she had already heard by then … maybe look at things is a different light. :-)

i wanted to go visit november 11 for university day too! but my mom wont let me visit unless i get in, which is understandable. waiting for acceptance is sooo hard! the weeks seem to be going by slower! haha and yes mom2collegekids, my SAT’s are coming out this thursday! I am so anxious! I have even been having dreams about my scores considering this is the third time and i really wanted to raise it for scholarship and such!

when i check my app status is there suppose to be in a check in the status box’s for the app, transcript, and SAT’s?

I don’t know…hopefully someone will answer.

@RL2011 - I checked my son’s application (he has already been accepted). There is nothing in the status column. I think the key factor is that there is a date shown in the “Received” column.

Hope that helps.

^My son checked his application too. Same as what wake said. Dates in the “received” column; nothing in the “status” column. And he, too, has already been accepted. There are also comments in the “notes” column for every one of the categories you mentioned

I just received my acceptance letter! I’ll definitely be visiting soon :)

i called them today and they said nothing goes in there but they check applications every tuesday and thursday!!! so hopefully by the end of the week i will know. thank you sooo much for your help! if i get in, i hope to see some of the there on university day november 11th!!!

i got accepted today!!! see yall november 11!!! thanks everyone for your help!
