High School Soph: Chances?

I attend the best high school in New York City (Stuyvesant), a sophomore, so I haven't taken the actual SAT yet. I've taken a few practice SATs, though I've yet to get the grades back -- my teacher told me I did quite well, though I'm not sure how well. I've taken a practice PSAT and gotten a 204 (this was without studying so I can only hope I'd do better on the actual test upon preparing for it).

I currently take AP World History, and come junior year I intend to take AP American Studies, AP US History: American Studies, and AP Spanish. I may also try to take an AP math or science class, if you think that would balance it out more.

My grades are mostly in the ninetieth percentile; I have an overall average (thus far) of 94.4. Last semester really screwed me over, but I think I'm doing much better this semester, so I think my average will increase.

I'm a debater on the LD Debate team. I play the bassoon in our school orchestra, as well as the piano (ABRSM 7) and violin (ABRSM 3) independently. Last summer, I had an internship with our Congresswoman. This summer, a partner and I are going to a small village in San Pedro, Paraguay, to assist in community development and environmental awareness projects; we will be speaking only Spanish all summer, insofar as nobody in the village knows any English. Part of the purpose of this program is to fully immerse oneself in an entirely foreign culture, and to promote cultural exchange/diffusion.

What are my chances? And is there anything you'd recommend?

(Also, do APs I take in senior year matter? That is, will colleges see them? Because our school only allows us to take four APs at a time, and if I take a fourth AP, it will take up my last free period, which I want to save for a Criminal Law elective. I was hoping I could just take a math AP senior year as opposed to junior year, but...)

I was also an octafinalist at Columbia’s annual debate tournament, if that adds to anything.

All those stats, yet you posted in the Columbia 2012 section. This is for students that are graduating next year. This post goes in the “Chances” section on the Main page.

Attention to detail.

Sounds good to me!

It’s too early to chance you, as you’re only a sophomore.
