I started off sub par freshman year with 3.1 uw and 3.25 which is killing me. With the work I put in this year and my goal next year It's very likely I could get it up to 3.4 uw and 3.6 w by the end of Junior Year srs. My EC's are Key Club (200hrs), hospital volunteer, Varsity Indoor Track 3 yrs, Varsity Track and Field 3 yrs, Football 2 yrs, John Hopkin Youth Search Award, and Tutor at Elementary School. I have not taken ACT or SAT yet, but will be studying all summer for both tests. What should I aim for with my stats to have best chance? Also I plan on taking AP CALC, AP Chem, Honor Anantomy and Physiology, and maybe AP Stats possibly senior year. I will apply August/September of Senior year. How will I fair? What are my chances? Chances for Duqusene University, Drexel University, Temple University, Allegheny College, Boston University, and UIUC as well????

bump so many views, yet no feedback. Also could you rank the following colleges I had in terms of best to worst pre med undergraduate schools??

As far as admissions go, SAT is a very important factor so it’s tough to say without that. Admissions for these schools are almost all academic based so determining chances once you have your SAT/ACT should be fairly straightforward. As far as pre-med goes, none of them are particularly good or bad. I know Boston U has grade deflation which doesn’t make it a good pre-med school. Drexel and maybe Temple have early assurance programs with the med school where as long as you maintain a certain gpa and get a certain MCAT, you are accepted early to the med school which is something you might want to look into. All in all though, as long as you have a good gpa and MCAT, where you come from amongst your choices won’t make a difference.
