Where’s the second semester of Human Geography?

I believe this person is at a school where periods are double the normal length and you attend the 4 classes every day, so year long classes are completed in a semester. I would suggest moving AP Human to second semester so you can take the AP exam right after you comlete the class. The schedule seems a little over the top; OP, are you really interested in all these academic courses?

My school is block scheduled like that, but our AP’s are still year-long courses.

Microsoft Excess??

@skieurope OP probably means access.

Just compare the schedule to what you can take as a sophmore at YOUR school. That alone determines if its a good schedule.

I am planning on dropping AP Human Geography to take AP Physics 1. I have no previous physics background classes though. I like doing math and I want to explore physics. In my school we have no Honors Physics but have the academic class. Is it a good idea for me to take AP Physics 1?

AP Physics 1 is designed to be an intro level physics class- no background necessary. However, if you drop AP Human, you would no longer have a history class, which is an issue. I’d take AP Physics 1 junior year for you.

I was also planning on dropping Microsoft excel and access to take sociology honors. Sociology is a social studies class for us. I will then take the Microsoft class next year. Is this a good idea?

That would be fine also. I’d still recommend waiting a year for AP Physics 1 though (if its offered again junior year, you’ll have to make sure) because you’d have 3 science classes this year which may be a lot of work. But do whichever you think is best.
