High School Student Competitions?

Hey everyone!
I am looking for some high school competitions that could bolster my application a bit, stuff like Intel, USAMO and that, but on a lesser scale.
Thanks in advance

Nothing?

Math league and science olympiad/science bowl are good if you like that kind of stuff, but are only available in certain regions.
You can also try AMC, but qualifying for the AIME is very difficult. USAMO can only happen if you have been doing competitive math for a long time, really.
There are usually regional science fairs that are less competitive than intel if you like research.

Keep in mind these won’t just be free resume builders, they take a lot of commitment and passion if you really want to do well.

Yeah. You’re not approaching this with the right attitude. The reality is, you’re not going to do well enough in a competition for it to matter on an application if you aren’t into it.

So, find something you like. You don’t want to devote your life to making your college application perfect and then wonder “what now?” when the college application period is over. Seen MANY freshman get hit by that realization/identity crisis this year.

I know. I really want a science fair but I guess it’s not the right time of the year
