High School Student looking for direct admit nursing school?

My daughter is interested in a good nursing program. She has an average gpa of 3.3 with several honors courses taken. Her high school classes placed an emphasis on chemistry, biology, kinesiology and anatomy. We are looking for a direct admit program within 8 hours of NJ. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I’d retry this in the nursing thread. Here’s a sticky list. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/nursing-major/859704-master-list-of-direct-entry-nursing-programs.html#latest

Senior? Stats?

@NDSdad I live in NJ as well. Nursing admit is highly dependent on SAT or ACT scores. Even test optional schools require them for nursing. We have retired nursing educator in the family and a few nieces are in nursing.

If I recall TCNJ and Stockton have the highest NCLEX pass rates in NJ, both well over 90%.

Be realistic in your search. Nursing programs are extremely difficult to obtain – even for kids with MUCH better grades than your daughter. In many non-direct admit programs, the upper courses require a +3.5GPA in core science college-level classes. Hopefully your daughter’s best grades were in her math/sci classes. Otherwise, it may be very difficult for her to find a direct admit or even a track into nursing at the college level. Despite the huge need for nurses, the training is still very limited in this country

Wait until you have some standardized testing and then re-post.
Offhand some ideas might be UScranton, Russel Sage, Sacred Heart…but I’m not sure about what stats are needed for direct admit nursing
