High School Student wanting to know if I am on the right track

Hello. :]
i'm currently a sophomore in very academically rigourous high school. I take 6 classes- honors in all the subjects possible with 3.8 gpa. Next year, i'm planning on taking honors english, honors precalc, ap bio, ap psychology, ushistory [i'm not sure if i want to take ap for it], and either ap stats or journalism.
i took th SAT II in Bio last year, and didn't do too well (i got a 630), but i'm planning on retaking it in junior year after AP Bio.
the practice tests that i've taken for the SAT I aren't that great, but i'm working on it.
Also, i took the PSAT in October, and i'm not sure how i did since the scores aren't released yet.
As for ECs, i dance and i'm on the speech and debate team. I have over 200 volunteer hours. Next year, i want to try to get into journalism and hopefully have an officer position in the debate club.

i want to get into Stanford.
What can i do be able to achieve my goal?

these posts scare me

why?
there are freshman who ask the same question.

these posts scare me too

Yeah, these posts scare me too. I bet plenty of us would be so screwed without the existence of College Confidential.

I'm screwed, cuz I discovered it way too late :(

3.8 GPA? Stanford wants 4.0. =</p>

I think you're more suitable for Berkeley.

MmCheezItsYay, =\ I discovered this the summer of Freshmen.

wow. I wish I had...when I was that young, I didn't really know what I wanted to do, and didn't really know much about colleges besides a few in texas, and didn't think about it at all. add that ignorance to having a sibling with multiple mental disabilities- my parents had to focus most of their attention on him because of that.

sigh, oh well. at least i even discovered this. lol.

eh; i don't really want to go to Berkeley.
either way though,
what can i do?

& yeah i'm very luck to have found this website.

It is probably a very high reach now, because you don't have a 4.0+ like all the other applicants. Well, I'm not here to discourage you.

Try your best, but don't let the whole college process take away your fun in high school. After all, life is too short to be wasted on such a thing.

Also, you have to ask yourself if you're in love with Stanford's name or the college itself.

no i love stanford.
i live preally close to it.
& i go to their games.
& i love the campus.

they only look at the 10th-12th gpa's right?
is it liek an average of all the grades together, or...?

what does class rank have to do with this?
