HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT

HI Guys, i am a high school sophomore right now. Last year, i got a 3.3 gpa and my first semester of this year is a 3.5. Is it it even still possible that i can get into a good college like UCLA or BERKLEY. BTW i am taking courses at my local college as a highschooler, am officer of many clubs, and am doing many internships/volunteering. PLZ HELP ME

What is your state of residency

as of now i live in California. I also forgot to include that i am taking AP classes and will continue to

To get a decent chance at Berkeley and UCLA, a 3.75+ GPA is almost a necessity. Have you taken the SAT? Aim for above a 2000, GPA of 3.75+, and continue your great extracurriculars and I’d say you’d have a good chance of getting in.

Thanks

is the GPA (3.3, 3.5) for your college courses or your HS courses?

Berkeley is very competitive. The admission rate is LESS than 20%
Admitted freshmen average 3.9 GPA and the midpoint of the SATs are about 2100.

I agree with @CEOSandeep‌. You GPA right now doesn’t suffice, but if you’ve been doing (or will be doing) those ECs for 3-4 years years each, get a 2000+ SAT, and add some nice awards, or write some great essays, you’ll be okay.
