High School Summer Inernships

I am a rising junior right now. I am looking for an internship or program to do the summer of junior year (hopefully free of a low cost). I was thinking a science-based, laboratory one. I am interested in cancer research and bio-medical engineering, but I am up for anything really. Any suggestions?

What state do you live in? If you’re in NY, you can probably apply to the company I’m interning at right now (it’s a pharmaceutical development company that has an oncology department… and medical devices but I find that boring lololol).

Illinois. lol is it offered to Illinois Residents

Can you show significant financial need? Some of the ones that cost money have up to full scholarships.

My S just finish the Research Mentorship Program at UCSB, and there were enough scholarship students that they had a specific time on the schedule for them to visit the alumni association to take a photo. It is 6 weeks. There were kids there from all over the US and a few international. I heard that most were rising seniors. I don’t recall any topics that were specifically cancer-related, but there were a lot of stem cell and gene-related things. You don’t get assigned your topic and mentor until the middle of the first week.
