Hi! I am applying for the Dramatic Writing Program this upcoming 2018 summer at NYU’s High School Summer Tisch School. I will be a junior next summer, and I know that lowers my chances because they give seniors priority, but I was just wondering if anyone could give me a gauge of my chances:)!
My Stats:
GPA: 4.2
AP Classes: AP World History, AP Human Geography, (that’s all that was offered so far at my school)
Sport: Water Polo
Extra Cirriculars: School Newspaper, Coaching Elementary School Water Polo, Learning American Sign Language, Volunteering with 826LA

I know this is late, but I wanted to ask if you applied? Because your stats are pretty good! That’s about what was standard when I went last year, although the gpa was higher than many a people there!
I know for a fact though that they look more for interesting people than good schooling, so your extra curriculars are most important, as is your essay and writing samples. You definitely seem to have the marking from what I can see, though! It all looks good. And since you seem baseline in terms of grades and APs, you’ll definitely have a fighting chance, at the very least.
