High School Suspension-- Please advise!

<p>Copying Sparknotes isn’t “plagiarism,” because you’re not copying someone else’s “academic” work. Plagiarism would be stealing parts of or an entire essay, whether for money or not, then claiming it as one’s own work. Copying Sparknotes’ ideas is just bad work…Certainly not academically honest, but I’m sure not considered by college to be plagiarism.</p>

<p>And Descuff, yes we’re talking about from a college’s perspective.</p>

<p>Well in my high school, just going on SparkNotes is a suspension. The reason for this is because for every summary, there is an analytical section. And some students copy this analysis, which is plagiarism.</p>
