High School Transcript Q.

Hey guys!

Since I've transferred schools, my current high school transcript is really really vague. They don't have the official class title on there. For instance "Debate" is called "Elective Transfer" and AP Lit as "Honors English Transfer".

So when I add extra information (will attach a resume, explanations of a few situational things, so already it will be 4+ pages) should I add class titles? Because I did take the most rigorious classes and want to show it off. Or should I just leave it intentionally vague?

Oh come on 59 views and no one can answer this simple question?

ask your counselor to do something about it

Tried. That didn't work. He's one of those aholes who only knows the word "No".

So I'm asking if I should be pro-active.

Of course you should...this is good info for the Additional Info section.

I'm confused- do you mean that the school you're at now labels it's own classes like that, or do you mean that it labels the classes you were in at your old school as that?

If the latter, just attach a copy of your resume from your old school.

You have to send an official transcript from your old school anyway, so colleges will see the real names of your classes (having nothing to do with attaching a resume).

You can explain the issue in one sentence in Additional Info: "For the titles of the classes I took prior to transferring to ABC High School, please see the transcript from XYZ High School."

Errr...

just attach a copy of your resume

I meant attach a copy of your transcript. No idea where that typo came from. It's not as if you'd attach your resume to your transcript to begin with.

So basically I just ask my former school for my transcript to be sent to my colleges and write a note on the "extra information" that I'm sending in my other school's transcript in too?

Any other comments or is this the general accepted answer?

No, that makes perfect sense.
