High School Transcript with two grading scales?

My sons high school is in the process of changing grading scales.

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this type of change and did thier school use two grading scales (prior to change date and new date)?

I would have thought the grading scale would be retroactive, but the school believes they should have prior to 2015 year grades are worth X points and after 2015 grades are worth Y points.

Would this make any difficulties in college admissions?

Regardless of whether a school does it, students transfer to different high schools all the time, and they all seem to have different grading scales, and they still manage to get into fine colleges.

The school profile should discuss the change in grading scale and/or the GC can cover it in the Secondary School Report.
