High School Transcript

I just got my freshman transcript (I’m currently a senior), and I realized that they included some high school courses that I took during 8th grade (Algebra I, French I). Unfortunately, I received a B+ during my first semester of Algebra I. This is because during the end of 7th grade, I moved from New York City to Ohio. The teaching curriculums are completely different, and the Algebra I teacher did not review some concepts as well as I had hoped for. Because of this, I got off to a bad start. My question is, will colleges look at these grades, and if so, is it worth it to explain why my grades were low in the first semester in the additional information section?

Any advice will help. Thanks!

A B+ in Freshman years is not going to harm you. I don’t think it is worth explaining.

If you don’t get into a college a B+ in 8th grade won’t be reason. Don’t explain it.
