I will be applying to several private schools and hs transcript is part of their admisiion process. Will I have to send them the official high school transcript? THe one that my hs counselor sends ?

Yes. If a HS transcript is required, an official copy must be sent.

that means i have to go back to my high school and request a transcript to be sent to my uni?

Yep. All you should have to do is either email or call them and give them the names of the colleges that you want your transcript sent to. Shouldn't be a big deal... HS Counselor recs aren't required - just the transcript.

oooooh ok ok =) thanx

Even for Georgetown? I mean there's no need to get any recs/statements from my HS counselor?

Yea, for Georgetown you need both an official copy of your HS transcript as well as your SAT scores sent.

Here's a link for the required materials:
http://www.georgetown.edu/undergrad/admissions/transferGen.html

By the way, even though it doesn't say "official" next to either of these items on the website, I applied there last Spring for transfer admission, and can tell you from expeience that official copies are indeed required. Hope this helps.

Regarding the recs, all you need is a rec from a current college dean and one professor. No need to ask your HS counselor for one.

You do however need a secondary school report for Georgetown and that comse from your HS counselor.
