soo, my school is really slow and stupid when it comes to sending final transcripts. I requested them the last week in May and FSU still hasn't gotten them yet...and I'm starting for summer term. is there any form of punishment for not having your high school transcripts sent? should I call to see if by some miracle FSU got the transcripts?

Are you sure it’s your high school that is at fault? FSU actually received my daughter’s transcript a month before it was showing on the status check tool. I was able to confirm this by going into her blackboard account/secure apps/unofficial transcript. All her classes were showing there. Once I saw that I had to call admissions a few times but they finally realized that something was wrong and had someone go in and fix it - the status check updated immediately. Maybe this is also the issue with you?

You should just pick up one from the school itself. There’s nothing you can really do to make sure FSU gets it if you’re absolutely sure they don’t already have it. It sucks, but you’re relying on your high school.

My high school is infamous with sending transcripts late/losing the request forms. But I’m going to call late to see if FSU got them.

If you go to a public high school in the state of Florida, FSU can likely access the info electronically. If the school has uploaded to FACTS.org, FSU also has access. Sign on to FACTS.org and check and see if your final semester grades/classes are loaded.

Just call FSU and verify. This is one incidence when you are not responsible, the school is. And FSU probably has them.
FSU will not accept a copy you give them. It has to come from the school, but it likely already has.

I remember sending my transcripts from my community college to FSU. Let’s say, me mailing my high school requesting a transfer to be sent to Purdue, took a week to be verified and completed by Purdue. FSU, it took almost a month for them to look at my transcript.

So, it may not be your HS fault. FSU was notoriously slow for me, when it came to transcripts.

okay thanks, I called yesterday and they didn’t have them so I’ll resend them. one electronically, one by mail, and I’ll keep one just in case

^ Good plan. You’re smart for not sitting around, waiting, and hoping that it’ll fix itself.

Btw, I could’ve sworn they took sealed transcripts. I remember being (by an FSU official) to bring one and seeing a few people with theirs at orientation.

thank you. and I’m pretty sure they take official sealed ones

They do take official sealed transcripts. If you need to do it that way they absolutely 100% will accept them.
