High School Transcripts

Do any of any of you experts here know if FSU evaluates the courses the applicant has taken and uses the grades directly from the transcripts? The reason I ask is the FACTS.org site that keeps track of Florida students' high school, Bright Futures, and State University System requirements GPAs and credits is wrong in multiple cases for my D.

For example, Pre-Calc and AP Statistics are not showing in the SUS column and they should be Math there. So it's like she's getting no credit for those for state university admissions requirements. If the colleges don't use that site, it's no big deal. The system is just messed up. I just don't want to get the application phase next summer and her academic credentials are wrong.

I appreciate any help or experience you've had with this.

My D's FACTS has errors as well. It apparently is important for Bright Futures calculations, but FSU uses the official school transcripts. D asked our school to correct certain errors, I have not yet checked to see if they have been reflected. School told D that it takes months for changes to show. Unless the error impacts the Bright Futures eligibility, I do not believe it matters. At least that is what we were told.

Thanks, Sunnyflorida. I'm still going to check with her GC to see if they can fix them. You would think the course number would drive all the right indicators, but apparently not.
