Does having F's on your transcripts really hurt your chances of getting into colleges/universities? I have some F's from my freshman and sophomore year from slacking alot, but i've made up those classes and now have A's and B's. But those F's remain on the transcipts. Do you think the fact that I've now made up those F's matters?

It does help that you retook the courses, but the colleges will see that you intially recieved those grades. Note that there is really no reason to recieve a F, not to mention two. Since the past is the past, my recommended course of action would be to contact your counselors and teachers to see if you can (possibly) get the grades dropped off your transcript. If there is absolutely no way you can, and you have a good excuse other than slacking off, explain in your application. Fails will always hurt. That you improved says a lot, but you’re taking a risk by having them.
