Okay, I am currently a junior at a very good public high school on Long Island. I have taken all of the honors classes and AP classes possible in my school as of now.

9th grade:
4 honors

10th grade:
3 honors
1 AP

11th grade:
3 APs
3 Honors

My Unweighted GPA is a 93.8 and my weighted is a 96.2. Doesn't that seem kind of ungenerous for a school? I think my school gives .5 for an AP and .4 for an honors... idk. It's frustrating because its like a 3.76 and 3.84. And some people with like similar amounts of honors/APs have like a 4.0 with a 3.76 UW. Help me out!!

Most colleges don't care about weighted GPA because it is not uniform among different schools. Top colleges like to see a 3.7/3.8-4.0 of unweighted GPA taking the most rigorous course-load available.

don't complain; nobody unweights numerical GPA's (90-100 type)...too time consuming....schools only calc unweighted for A-F grading system....consider yourself lucky unless, of course, your class rank is low......btw, i was told this by an admissions officer.
