I'm trying to convince myself that I enjoy it, and that I'm interested and I actually WANT to learn more. But that doesn't stop me from procastinating haha... But still. Whyyy were moles ever discovered and whyyyyy do I have to learn about bonding?!?!?!?!?!?! You can rant too, if you'd like haha...

I don’t know, but I have always LOVED chemistry. Maybe it’s because I have hated the other subjects. Here are my reasons:

Math was fun until middle school when it was about thinking differently; or around the problem if you will. Now, it’s just about knowing the ‘trick’. If you know the trick, you can solve the question in 2 minutes. If not, slave for an hour and you won’t get it. Not saying that I don’t like math, just that I hate this particular thing.

English. Essays. Enough Said. (Alliteration )

I like the concepts in economics. But the writing. OH GOD. THE WRITING. You have to write such huge answers and explain each aspect of them - assuming that the examiner is dumb >_<

Physics: Just too much logic. Too much logic.

And that’s why I loooooove chemistry :D

Senior, signing off!

This seems just like the calculus rant posted in this forum. It seems like you are just memorizing things and not really thinking about them. Without moles, chemistry calculations would be more difficult. As for bonding - just think about almost everything you see and touch. Notice that they are composed of atoms bonded together, and differences in bonding lead to different properties that might be suitable for one application but not another.

I loved Pre-Ap Chem as a sophomore. Hands down, favorite class.
Then I took it AP junior year.
Nuff said. -_-

Collegeboard just kills the joy in anything.

^ Do you mean H3PO4, H2PO4, HPO4? :p

LOVE the topic, hate the work.

Chem was fun as hell, I especially loved when we went into electron orbitals and stuff. Found it very cool.

Physics remains my favorite science though.

I hated chem with a burning passion. I like physics much better.

bonds are the reason why there are reactions, it’s the essence of chemistry
moles are so you don’t have to deal with 10x23 power constantly…

only subjects i hate are gov (us gov so damn corrupt) and english (like analysis, but some things are so damn vague)

high school chem blows boat people

Moles are the worse thing that ever happen to chemistry. But I took in my sophmore year… Geometry-■■■■, Pre-AP english-Why a research paper, I’m speaking english am I?, US History- too boring, too easy, Comp Apps.-too much project for one trimester (12 week semester),Cooking 1-crazy dual-finals, Chem- wowed by lab and too easy combining elements not that hard.
This was the only class besides US history 1, which I made straight As. But somehow I never manage to get an A on the final, only once.

Hahaha I completely love chemistry. <3

You guys must think I’m a freak…

I love Chem <3 Its probably because of the wacky, amazingly funny woman that taught the class.

I always liked Chemistry. Some thing about just really sparked interest. I’m taking it next Honors Chemistry next semester.

@Lesley no I love chemistry too lol
@gazoz I swear if we have the same teacher lol.
I’m actually considering taking AP Chemistry for senior year just for fun.

Chemistry is really fun. I don’t understand people who call it terrible. It’s awesome!

I sort of like the subject of chemistry, though there’s some people in my class that I don’t like. I have a pretty good teacher, though the honors curriculum at my school’s been “dumbed down” from what I hear. What I don’t like about it is how vague it sometimes is; everything is happening on the molecular level, and I prefer stuff on the macro scale.

Im taking chemistry honors next semester ! O_o
any suggestings ?

I loved chemistry.

Then I took AP Chemistry… nuff said. >_>

Hate it. Or, at least in my school. We seem to nothing but boring conversions and the labs we do are only about conversions.

Bio is the only science I like, but I like it a lot. I’m not good at math, so that should explain Physics.
