Hey thats where Kobe's from. So how does it feel to be from the same area as Kobe, it must be great

Even better if you were his neighbor blushes

1530 SAT (I'm the only that took it, I had to drive like an hour each way!)

21 is our ACT average. I'm in IL, so everyone in my crappy public school is forced to take it.

Forced? You're kidding, right?

Nope, it is a requirement to graduate.

well I mean if you plan to graduate, I hope you take the ACT (since its IL)

In IL, the ACT is one half of the state examination for juniors (the PSAE). At the end of April, two days are set aside to administer the PSAE, and the ACT is given on the first day. So yeah, IL kids HAVE to take the ACT. And they have to take it again on that specific date even if they've already taken it on their own. What really sucks though is that even if you do better on the required April one (I know a kid who got a 36 on the required one), colleges won't take it because it doesn't including the writing section.

My school's average is 1300/1600.

I think my school's SAT average is around 1200.

About 1240-1250

TJ I think is 1400 or something

960 is the average for my school.

I am not really sure of the significance of average scores for college admissions. If your school has a high average, I guess that means it is a good school with a strong curriculum and high achieving students so as a student there you are probably more likely to do well academically and to be prepared for college. But the down side is that at a school with a high sat average you will probably have a lot more competition. Suffice it to say that I didn't have a whole lot of competition!

Wow my schools average is approximately 910. I must go to the dumbest school ever. No one breaks 1800/2400, not even me. It's said.

our average is like 1300/2600

Ours is in the high 1300's (DC private school).

Which test is that?

Not sure of the average SAT, but the average ACT is 25.4 which is similar to a 1200/1600 on the SAT.

School average for the old SAT is 739 (379 Math, 360 Verbal).

Highly competitive indeed.

"our average is like 1300/2600"

It must be the math score that is hurting your school's average! 3 tests totaling 800 each would make a composite total of 2400, not 2600 lol!

Verbal 664, Math 768, Writing 691.

2123 is my school's average

Avg SAT = 1140/1600. Not bad, considering we have few rich kids who can afford a billion SAT classes and retakes and it's probably the highest public school SAT avg in the county.

The kids I've talked to in my AP classes are having trouble breaking 1800-1900 so I can only imagine how much the regular kids are struggling with it. The highest score I've heard of in my class was my friend's, the probable valedictorian next year (2160 = 800V 690M 670W). I got a 2110, that seems to be the second highest so far.
