High Upward Curve

I wasn’t the best student through my early high school years. I am a junior and I have tried to erase the mistakes I made in my freshman and sophomore years by trying my best this year. I went from a 2.5 GPA to a 3.1 GPA this year and have made consecutive GPAs of above 3.7 for each trimester. I plan on taking more advanced classes and expunging more grades next year. My last ACT score was 23, but I’m retaking it this summer and plan to score above 30. I would do summer school or some other credit recovery program in order to make my GPA even higher but my school doesn’t offer such programs. I am part of a FIRST robotics team and I have an interest in mechanical engineering. I am a dual resident of Indiana and Georgia and my goal is to go to Georgia Tech. I plan to accomplish that by any means necessary.

I meant to ask if I have a shot at getting in

Also, if I don’t have a shot, please list some things I should do to get accepted

Assuming your current stats, a 3.1 and 23 is too low for Georgia Tech in or out of state. Note that it is considered the regional powerhouse in technology, and is a common MIT back-up school. The turn around gpa is great though, and I hope your retakes do work out. If your retake works out, still apply but know that it will be hard.
