Hey all, I'm planning on applying to UT, and although my GPA (3.4) and rank (62nd out of ~480, good for 12.7 percentile), are not that great, my ACT and SAT (32 and 2070) are pretty great. So I am trying to improve my chances in every way possible for admission, and I was wondering whether it is easier to get into the Computer Science school or the Business school at UT, or any other college. I'm guessing business school will be harder to get into. Thanks!

bump…

and by computer science school I mean the College of Natural Sciences.

Don’ change your major to manipulate your chances of admission. It’s dishonest and may be obvious to the admissions committee if your extracurriculars are skewed one way or the other, which would actually almost guarantee a rejection.

Are you in state or out o state? After the autoadmission of in state top 7% students, the remaining seats are very competitive. Your GPA, class rank, and score perhaps make it a low reach for you.
