Higher level Math and Science Classes

Hi everyone! I was just wondering how much of a benefit there is or if there is any at all in taking higher level courses. For instance, the usual class load for juniors in my region is BC Calc/Precalc and Physics 1. However, I am enrolled in Multivariable Calculus/Liner Algebra and Physics C, would the benefit be worth the possible lower grade?

I think it depends on how you define ‘lower grade’ usually a B in AP/DE is equal to an A in honors in terms of weighted GPA.

Try getting at least a B in your tougher classes, but see how much you can handle though. However it is good that you are different than the others.

If you’re willing to be hard-working and intelligent, I would take the higher level courses. It would especially look better on college admissions if you challenge yourself in the areas you excel in. A lower grade in high-level courses would look better than a high grade in low-level courses.

If you’re prepared for these classes, yes. If you rushed through the prerequisite material in order to take them now, you probably won’t learn as much.
