Higher Math II than SAT I math?

Hey everyone -

I took a SAT practice test and a Math II practice test recently, and I scored higher on Math II than I did in the math section of SAT I. Any insights as to how this can happen, and how I can raise my SAT math score?

Also, does studying for Math II help with SAT I math?

The Math II curve is generous. You can miss several questions and still get an 800.

Studying for Math 2 will not help Sat 1 math.

  1. Many people make the misconception of comparing the SAT I Math and the SAT II Math. They are apples and oranges.
  2. Math I can help with Math II but Math II doesn't really help with Math I.
  3. You can improve your score by.....taking more practice tests!!! yay! :P
