Highest earning potential? Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Finance/Accounting?

Highest earning potential?

So, you’re going to pick the highest paying major on the basis of the statistical scatter of thousands of job holders?

Go for it, man!

I’m interested in the career that it’s possible to get a big pay out. For example, developing a successful app in Computer Science or building something in Computer Engineering. In Finance/Accounting, becoming a partner or get into Investment banking, etc. But it takes a long time to become a partner. And I’m not going to a target IB school. Which brings me back to the partner part of Accounting.

How many people make partner in Finance or Accounting?

Edit: What percent?*

Developing a successful app
Building something in computer engineer
Becoming a partner or get into investment banking

The first two probably have the highest potential earnings but becoming a partner/getting into investment banking is a lot more probable. Though don’t get me wrong, becoming a partner/getting into investment banking is still incredibly difficult with a very low chance of success especially since you’re not going into a target school.

You can make a very good living with all of them. Go for the one you are most interested in and be good at it. That will make you seccessful.

^^^Agreed. Take some classes and see where your interests and aptitudes lie and that should give you the best path to follow.
