<p>i'm assuming Harvard, Yale, Stanford and Princeton would be on top because of their huge endowments, followed by schools like Pomona, Wellsley and Wesleyan, who have large endowments, but a very low number of students.</p>

<p>principia is actually the highest amongst top tier liberal arts colleges (947177 per student)... followed by grinnell, pomona, swarthmore, amherst, williams and wellesley (wesleyan is 37th). i dont have similar data for national universities.</p>
