My (online) pre-cal teacher has recently taken up curving grades... and I just checked and on one of my quizzes this week I got a 177% 0_o Which is really out there...

What's the highest anyone else has got on an assignment?

We had a history project over colonial exploration in 4th grade, I believe. And I got 274 out of 169. Funny how I still remember the numbers.

But more seriously, in high school, I got a 175 out of 80 on a calculus quiz. (There were 9 questions worth 20 points each, and most of the class totally failed 5 of them, so our teacher took the test out of 80 points. I got everything right but had a little brain fart in an integration problem so I lost 5 points. Still, that was a great day!)

My physics teacher used to give out "square root of dog"s. I still don't know what that translates into numerically. But supposedly it meant you did so well your grade wasn't included in the curve. Or something.

Highest grade on anything, in recent memory, would have to be a chemistry quiz. Teacher gave me an extra five points (105%) for noticing that zinc can't replace strontium in this single-replacement reaction. I looked at the equation and I said to myself, "this reaction can't even take place!" So, I circled it and put a gigantic red "x". Very funny moment. ;)

In my honors precalc class, your participation grade goes up 3 points (1/3 of a point in the overall grade) every time you go to the board, so last quarter, I had a 103 average.
