Highest point increase on the ACT?

<p>Hey everyone!
I was just wondering for those who went up by at least 4 points on the ACT...did u guys prep a lot?</p>

<p>in a way, if someone went up 4 points on the ACT, how could they NOT have prepped a lot? either that or you awoke from the comatose state in which you took the ACT before...and i doubt that is the case.</p>

<p>so yeah im assuming that increase was the result of a lot of prep.</p>

<p>haha...that's true...it's just that i'm really nervous for Saturday even though i have prepared somewhat!</p>

<p>same here, im taking the ACT on Saturday. im not that nervous tho. i took it in januarary as a freshman and am takin it in june. i got a 29 last time.</p>

<p>Taking again because I had already registered. didn't think I would get a 34.</p>

<p>I just did 2 practice tests in between 1 and 2. Try 1 had NO prep at all.</p>

<p>I got a 20 in 9th grade because I only needed to do well on English to get out of a class in high school. </p>

<p>This year I got a 34.</p>

<p>i don't mind taking it a third time in the fall...It's just that I also have to start preparing for the SAT IIs!</p>

<p>I just wish i could get at least a 32, BUT i keep on scoring a 30 or 31 on the practice tests...grr</p>

<p>All 11th grade:
1st: 26</p>

<p>2nd: 26</p>

<p>3rd (Decided to prep): 34</p>

29- December of Soph.
32- June of Soph.</p>

<p>Granted, this was over a 3 year period, but I improved 8 points. From December to June was a lot of practice tests and keeping better time in reading.</p>
