Hi,
So I know that Yale doesn’t participate in Score Choice, but then their Standardized Testing FAQ seems to imply that they superscore. It says: “With a full testing history, the committee is able to look at a student’s highest officially reported score on each section of the SAT, the highest individual SAT Subject Tests, and/or the highest ACT Plus Writing composite score.” Am I just completely misinterpreting this?
Thanks!
They want you to send all of your scores in, but they’re letting you know that you won’t be held to your lowest score. They want to see how you developed, and they don’t want kids taking like 6 tests to get randomly higher scores and just sending in a few of them.
They also don’t superscore because doing that costs more (you pay a premium to the College Board for the service) and it puts students with less money in a bind. More affluent kids would be able to pay to have only their top scores sent. This levels the playing field if everyone has to send them all.
