Highschool class of 2005

What are you guys doing this summer? I think I'm getting the first signs of severe senioritis- after I graduated! I used to be very motivated during the summers to catch up or get ahead of the class next year. I had planned an extensive review of several subjects for college next year. Like most people, I know that it's ok to enjoy the last summer before going to college. However, I don't feel like doing anything! Don't feel like getting a job, studying, playing sports, anything. Does anyone feel like this or is it just me?

i always feel so overwhelmed by the end of the school year that i just want the summer to be relaxing. what invariable happens is that i get bored and waste my summer and get ****ed at my parents because they start lecturing me and i usually just bum around the house.

so what do i want to do this summer? absolutely nothing. i haven't really learned from past mistakes...

I am dying to get a job. I've applied at 4 places, with more to come, and I haven't gotten any calls yet. I actually haven't been able to hold a regular paying job ever because I've had busy schedules during summers, so I'm looking for a first job, and it's a little nerve racking. I would feel extremely guilty if I didn't work. I feel obligated to get my own money because in college I don't want to feel like I'm feeding off my mom's bank account. Also, I'd like to have something to do, instead of just get lazy.

same here, prospect, but nobody wants me... so sad :(

Well, I'm taking college classes and working. I have classes three days a week and will probably work three days. My classes are at night and I'll only work the evening shift... so the mornings and early afternoons will be left for lounging at the pool!

... also, I've got alot to do to with dorms stuff so that'll take some time too

I'm going to be pursuing a theatre degree in the fall, so I need to work on my table waiting resume. ;) Starting next week, I'll be lunch waitressing at a local restaurant and I'm on call for banquet waiting at night.

This whole post-graduation thing is weird. I keep feeling like there's something I need to do scholastically when I know there isn't.

same here.

well this guy right here just got his job today. he is working at the court house for $13 a hour, just filing papers not what i plan to do in the future of being a lawyer but it is in the court house. i guess thats why the govt is in a the whole, they are paying 18 year olds $13+ an hour just filing papers.

LOL... you're right about the government. Last summer I stuffed envelopes at home and was paid an amazing $16/hr. People, understand that I sat by the pool all summer and did menial work and was being paid twice what I would had I been working at McDonalds... crazy, but I'm thankful!

I GOT A JOB TODAY! oh happy day

waiting for calls back.....from those employers who took my Resume and iono what they did with it, but something ~_~ .......if I don't work over the summer I'll get cranky

you shouldnt wait for a call back.. just keep going in, following up.. like once a week
