In my school, A+ = 4.25, so my unweighted GPA is like 4.15 (all A+s and As)
when colleges recieve my transcript, will they recalculate it using A+ = 4.0, so I will have a 4.0/4.0 instead of a 4.15/4.25?

also, what do colleges count an A- as?

On a 4.0 scale and A- is typically a 3.67. I do not know whether colleges create their own scale for evaluation or if the use the traditional 4.0.

Colleges count A- as 3.7. They only count the five main subjects (math, english, science, social studies, and foreign language.)

THanks.

anyone know if they will count my GPA as a 4.0/4.0 or a 4.15/4.25?

It depends on whether you didn’t get an A- or not. If you did get all A’s than in the 5 main subjects, it is a 4.0/4.0 to colleges.

Most schools don’t bother re-calculating or unweighting GPAs, actually. The only one that comes to mind right now is Emory.
