What are you guys (high school junior)' plan for this summer?
some are takin SAT classes, some are having internship, some are doing volunteer work...
but i hav no idea :S

Any Suggestions for me?
anything that can help me w/ my college application...
since i don't have super high GPA, SATs or ECs...i really should do something meaningful in the summer

Definitely do something that will raise eyebrows (positively of course).
I spent a whole day being "taught" on funeral home business at a big hospital. So I watched and learned how a cadeavor is properly cleaned and suited for funeral process. That was something that admission officers rarely see in resumes.
Also, as a native Korean, I bothered to take a day trip at Demilitarized zone between North and South Korea. Dangerous but also interesting. Got to stand on North Korean land for 2 minutes! Derived a lot of essay topics off from this experience.

This girl I read from a book went on a biking trip across America during summer. Maybe go work as a custodian at a big stadium or subway and learn about the other side of life that you've never been exposed to.

Use ur wildest imaginations to do something very very unique that'll make admission officers remember u at the end of the day.

2 required courses online
AP homework
volunteering
STUDYING FOR SAT/ACT! < Most important!
Starting college essays
I might do a driver's ed course

It's not some fancy internship, but it's all stuff I need to do.

Do you something you like; please do not plan your activities based on what you think adcoms will want to hear, as thirstyice seems to have done.
