My sophmore year I transferred to a school with a much harder language program than my previous one, and wasnt prepared at all for French II. I ended up with a high C in French, which brought down my GPA a lot. I know if I continue French my Junior year, I will get a C again and bring down my GPA even more. I want to transfer to Latin I for my Junior year, where I will have a better chance at earning an A. Will this look bad for colleges? Which will look worse, transferring to another language after getting a C in French, or continuing getting French with the risk of bringing down my GPA even lower??
Most colleges want to see three years of the same language, so switching to Latin I in junior year will not allow you to fulfill this requirement. I would stick with French and maybe look for a tutor.
