Hillary Clinton: 2008 Presidential Candidate

i can vote in that election... and i can definitly see hilary winning... id vote for her...

if she ran, she would give republicans an easy victory. i live in ny and i have no respect for her policies and what she does (or doesnt) do for the state.

I voted for Bush... but mostly I'm socially liberal, but I voted 95% on foreign policy. (Me: for the war, pro death penalty, pro stem cell research, pro choice)

I'm calling for a Republican win in 2008. 2008 will be rock bottom for the Democratic Party. They're almost there right now, after 2004, but there rebound will soon begin. I'm heavily banking on Hillary to get the nomination from the Dems, and I think if she runs she has the chance to lose 55-45 or even 60-40 percentage wise (as opposed to like 52-49 or 51-49 or whatever the percentage was in the last election). Whoever the Republicans run, I feel it doesn't really matter, that they will win if the Dems run Hillary, but I'm banking on them running one of the three: Giuliani, McCain or Rice. Look for the rebound in 2012, with the Republican in office taking a narrow victory, followed by Obama and the Dems back in the White House in 2016.

That said, I would like to see Edwards run again. It is unfortunate that he gave up his Senate seat to committ to running for VP, and Kerry did not do the same. Running Kerry again would be a mistake. He lost once why should he win this time? I'm not familiar with the Dem governors, but I think Edwards should be on the ticket.

Remember, she has Bill on her side, so she has expert advice for running the election. When it came to presidential runnings, Bill Clinton was brilliant in winning over George Bush Sr.

Whoever runs, at least Dubya's reign of terror is over !! :)

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

im talking about the religious right(oxymoron!) and the moderates becoming increasingly divided. its not huge but the judicial issue didnt help and the party may shake up a little bit more depending on who gets the nomination

if the dems run hillary and anyone but frist gets the republican nomination it wont even be close

"There is no way that she will get within an iota of a majority in any southern state"

exactly, she only stands a chance in a few states(ny, cali, michigan... maybe a few others would be close) too many people are anti-hillary

I honestly don't think Hillary would make it past the primaries anyway--not enough Democrats like her enough and many will strategize thinking that America won't be ready for a female president (which I doubt it will in 4 years). If its (seemingly) obvious to a bunch of teenagers, many of whom still cannot vote, even more Democrats would see running Hillary would be suicide.

All in all, HILLARY IS AWESOME because she went to WELLESLEY!

thats the dumbest thing Ive heard

I'm an Evan Bayh guy (ha that rhymes). He's a Dem from a very republican state (Indiana) and I think that holds well with moderate voters and even some republicans. Though, to be honest, I vote straight Dem in all elections anyway so it won't make any difference to me. I'm most scared of a Frist repub candidate because there are SOOOO many religious extremists in the country, it sickens me to say that. I'm a Christian but I don't go around saying "God hates Fags" and all that other nonsense. But anyways, go Dems!

Obama won't get the nomination, it'll most likely go to Clinton. The Democratic brass won't allow Obama to run; he's too young in politics and would be easily defeated by a more experienced GOP candidate. Clinton in '08 would be a disaster for this country, but as long as the GOP controls both houses and the SC remains somewhat conservative, things won't get too out of hand.

I honestly don't believe Hillary Clinton will come on top in the primaries...she might get second.....remember...it was projected very very early on that either Dean or Clark would gain the nomination, and then in the weeks approaching the Iowa, the tides turned....then Iowa just made it clear that either Kerry or Edwards were gonna be the nominee. And...Obama will be old enough to run in the '08 election AND he's a good candidate....although....if McCain is on the Republican ticket, he'll win my vote.....

Aside from the 2000 election, after a President has completed his second term or a very weak first term, the party moves towards nominating a more moderate candidate. After a second term, an incumbent doesn't have the popular support/prior record to back himself up with...both parties attempt to reach for the majority of Americans, who are overwhelmingly moderate. Hillary Clinton IS a likely nominee, but I still doubt that she'll make it to the top. However, Obama does have a chance...even though he's relatively young, he's proven himself worthy and influencial in the Senate...if anything, it might be an Obama-Clinton ticket rather than a Clinton-Obama ticket...but realistically...I think it'll end up being a Warner-Obama or a Warner-Clinton ticket.

I'm a fairly moderate Republican....I'm one of those that hopes Orrin Hatch and John McCain make the ticket....A McCain-Hatch combo is a surefire win.

I think all you lame suburban kids who are for the war so much should pack up your bags and head to the first marine corps depot you find. You cowards wouldnt. I hate people that are so supportive of a war, but when push comes to shove they would not do anything to help fight the war.

Speaking of on the whole "god hates fags" i have an intersting story. My brother lives with my father in tracy, ca and he goes to high school there. Some teacher got fired for making anti gay remarks in class ( a thing you just don't do as a teacher in a classroom out in california, much like a teacher wounldnt be expected to make anti black comments in a school in rural mississippi.)anyways the teacher resigned and some random church came all the way from KANSAS to protest at the graduation. They had signs like "god hates gays" and all that stuff.

My first question was why are all thes sheep who think they are so "christ like", act much worse and much more inhuman than the people they try to demonize.

My second question was why did these people come all the way from Topeka Kansas to Tracy, Ca just to protest this.

My impression of the midwestern conservative religous right as a result was not to good. They seemed to have way to much time on their hands. Perhaps these people should look at their own lives before they go criticizing others.

I would definatly vote for hilary, as a male, a californian, and a liberal, i think nothing would be better for the economy than to get the bone head republicans out of the white house.

Data shows that under every republican president since richard nixon, the economy has hit the ****ter. Lets face it republicans run crappy economies. Why are states like California and New York (and alot of other blue states) so prosperous while all the red ones( Ohio, kentucky, etc) have horrible economies. Face it democrates know what it takes to make the country prosperous.

Oh yes and death to tyrants (King George Bush Jr)

"I think all you lame suburban kids who are for the war so much should pack up your bags and head to the first marine corps depot you find. You cowards wouldnt. I hate people that are so supportive of a war, but when push comes to shove they would not do anything to help fight the war."

Wait so we arent allowed to support something without being in the middle of it? So then why do you support gays rights maybe you should become gay or maybe you already are.

I dont know about you but the economy hasnt affected me in the least bit and if your talking about gas prices thats opec's fault not Bush's.

don't listen to takingbacksaturday....he honestly has no idea what he's talking about...he's young and naive.

BUT....Democrats have been just as bad as Republicans...you see them complaining about everything, yet doing nothing.....Clinton was the only one in modern times to actually fix something...i.e. the welfare system....need i mention that Democrats cringed at the 96 WFRA...cut costs on abuse of the welfare system, and boosted the economy....achieved by who?...Republican Congressmen and Clinton....one democrat....not all of them....

and the rise in oil prices is attributed to Bush somewhat...if the economy was even slightly better, you'd see a drop in the prices.

Get a clue. Stay off of the economics debate if you don't know anything about economics. Which you obviously don't. Oil prices have to do with a.) inventories, b.) production rate, and c.) futures contracts. The economy is the best it's been in a long time, and you're trying to say it's bad?

Better yet, use the following space to explain how Bush has any effect whatsoever on oil prices:

yeah sure narahrahrahrahrahfaasaaaa

here ill help u just in case narharahrahrafasa

Better yet, use the following space to explain how Bush has any effect whatsoever on oil prices:___________

there now you have a really long line to explain

I'd vote for Hilary, but she will probably get slaughtered by the Republican who runs against her. I think Warner, a southern Democrat, should run for president instead.

I would vote for Mccain without any hesitation, but i seriously doubt he can win the Republican primaries.

The advantage with her is she'd have Bill on her side to give her advice. If the other candidates are a bunch of nobodies and old white men with zero personality, I'll favor her a little bit.
