Hillary Vs. Barack Vs. Edwards

None of the listed choices.

I just want to say that while I am absolutely against universal health care (for my above stated reason), that I do think that there should be universal health care for all citizens under the age of 16.

Why should kids get health care and other don't?

I wish Al Gore was running... It would be so easy for him, he could just run under the slogan "Re-elect Al Gore!" lol...

Hilary's a sell out, Obama won't be elected because he's black (I'm not racist, just stating a fact), and Edwards would be ridiculed by republicans for his hair and won't be elected because of that. Too bad this country is too stupid to think for themselves and just listens to whatever the media says...

I had respect for Al Gore right up until The Inconvenient Truth. Global warming is a big issue but c'mon... I don't want to sit through an hour and a half of "This is my life... I won 2000... etc.' Live Earth too. 'Inconvenient Ruth'...? ...ya...

So Authentic, you seem to be coming up with any way to defend your promotion of Hilary without truly explaining it.

I wish everyone had high-quality health care but that's never going to happen. I personally think the best solution would be if the government subsidized the major HMOs/etc. That way there would be cost-control and perhaps still maintain the quality (quick and suitable procedures) of a private corp.

I never heard of a company that sells health insurance MBP.

blue cross and blue shield?

TKnight> If you give children free health care, it wouldn't ruin the current health care program like giving it to everybody would. I said earlier that giving universal health care to everybody would make it like going to the DMV, or as somebody (sorry, i don't remember the username) said how for major things it takes months to get treatement. I don't think that that would happen if it was universal for children.

Have you actually seen An Inconvenient Truth? He never actually said he won 2000... And he's raising awareness for an issue he thinks is important, actually he thinks its the most important issue.

TritiumKnight because kids are the future people of next year so I think that they should get and everyone else too. Not just them but kids should come first

Global warming is confusing and irritating. One minute they'll say it'll happen when our great great great grand children are here and the next minute they say it will happen in 10 years. Like what the hell? stick to one prediction. && it was all said in the movie

jakor, i already stated why I would vote for Hill its more reasons but thats my opinion though

^ No, I was making the point why should children get it and adults don't.

Personally I don't think illegal aliens should get any benefits.

aliens should be treated as equal as the citizens. Everybody in the world is not different. matter fact studies show that we're all 98% (or around that percentage) the same. Regardless if we're black, chinese, white, hispanic etc. Therefore, they should get benefits. As long as the citizens of the US gets it first because thats their country.

Children probaly get health benefits because they see them as more important than adults I geuss........i don't know the world just seems unfair in every aspect of life

This reminds me, who has seen SiCKO? What'd you think of it, don't comment if you haven't please.

I liked it. I don't agree with everything, and how other countries were portrayed weren't entirely accurate. They don't have it that well, but nonetheless, our health care system is screwed up. Yeah, privatizing things makes them more efficient, but when you set no limits for the HMO's, they have no incentive to treat you. The point of capitalism is money. capital = money. I don't think we should try to make money out of people's illnesses, so I think that socializing health care is the way to go. You socialize it to make it fair and privatize it to make it more efficient and make money. Sick people shouldn't be taken advantage of.

Other thoughts?

are you kidding me? Why should tax payers pay for illegal aliens that aren't paying taxes?

What do you propose hospitals do if an illegal alien is about to die? Are tax payers really that greedy?

so authentic>"I hope you know that there are more people in this world that are not getting an income that satisfies them than they're are that does satisfies them"

you are really hard to understand... what are you saying???

"I think they just need to reduce the cost of health because thats whats more important and any candidate willing to da that is on my good side."
that's what all of the candidates plans are trying to do, but universal health care isn't the way to go!

and you never even commented on what I think we should do? why wouldn't that be the way to go?

Basically, There are More Working class people in the world than Rich people. So health care is almost a long-reach

Thank You UnleashedFury for justifying my posts.
No MBP, are you the one thats kidding?
It all makes sense. who the hell would try to make money out of someones illness? Thats why medicine will be the last field on my list

No wonder communism is in such competition

unleashedfury, they treat them and then send them to jail.
I know it sounds bad, but if we give away health care for free, how can we ever expect to let our citizens get the care that they're paying for.

MONEY is what gets things done. why should doctors that spend years and years (along with a ton of money for tuition) do their craft for free?

no one is saying really to do it for free because then all doctors will switch to another field. && there won't be no one to treat illnesses. But on the other hand, don't make health care at a price only rich people or above average people can afford. Come on, be serious.

"Have you actually seen An Inconvenient Truth? He never actually said he won 2000... And he's raising awareness for an issue he thinks is important, actually he thinks its the most important issue." Yes, I've seen the movie and I know he's raising awareness for an important issue. However, I also recall points in the movie that were totally unrelated to the environment (flashback to when he 'lost' Florida). I think Al Gore is rallying support for the right causes and he's a good politician but things like 'Inconvenient Ruth' (where it's a 2 minute idolization of Gore) makes me lose respect for him as a serious leader/spokesperson.

I agree with MBP. Why in the world would I want my tax money to go to those in the country illegally? I understand that they're trying to escape economic depression/seek a better life for their families (thus they should be pitied) but if you don't contribute into the system why should you be allowed to reap the benefits?

i'm not saying that only rich should be able to afford health care (and people that aren't rich can afford health care right now, i might add. My family only makes 45,000 a year and has three people in college, and we're covered.... i know there are people that make a lot less money, but we're definaltey not freaking rich!)
however, universal health care IS NOT the answer. people will get such lousy care that they would wish they could pay more to get proper care!
