With the current terrible market conditions in the U.S. how have hiring prospects been affected globally, specifically in Asia?

I think it might be easier to score a work visa in europe(england) or austrailia

I have already considered selling all of my worldly possessions and flying out to london for 3-6months and see if I could get the ball rolling.

Pretty sad... huh... all my possessions only account for 3-6months of living.

Wow. good luck to you.

Also to clarify, how will this affect IB hiring prospects?

I'd say Asia is the best prospect right now, better than the US or Europe.

better start brushing up on your foreign languages!
for example, if you are working in HK, all your responsibilities will be the same as the analysts in the US, except you will also have to take on the role of translating. this is true for the junior positions.
