So i'm not really applying to Harvard, I just thought the title would catch your attention. I've finished all apps, I just want to see what chances i've got. Here goes nothin;

GPA; 3.83 uw, 4.01 w
Rank; 11/426 (use weighted GPA's)
Sat's; 750 v, 770m, 700 w
Sat2's; 710 US-h, 750 Math2c, 690 Lit (sucks, i know)

EC's;
- 4 years varsity tennis
- 4 years on soccer (2 year JV, 2 years V)
- 2 years in ASB (elected)
- 3 years in both math and science club
- 3 years in DECA (won regional event, placed at state)
- 120 hrs volunteer over 3 years (10-12) at local hospital

I've taken 4 AP's but the rest are all honors. Here are the AP scores;
US-history-4
Spanish-5
Physics- taking this year
Calc-taking this year

So I am actually hispanic, and i'm bi-lingual (spanish/ english). In CA.
I've applied to these schools; UCB, UCLA, UCSB, Yale (I know.... long shot), Uchicago, Upenn, and Georgetown.

Tell me where you think i'll be in. I appreciate the input.

If you're really Hispanic and not some white guy with a Hispanic step-father or something equally tenuous and suspect, then you have an excellent chance at your top choice schools.

You have a very good shot everywhere. Generally what brings URMS w/ high scores down is a lower GPA, leaving the school to believe that they might not be able to handle the work. You don't seem to have this problem. You have a nice set of devoted extracurriculars and a decent amount of meaningful awards. You are in at all UCs, probably Chicago & Georgetown, & maybe Yale and Penn. Even that may be too pessimistic...

haha affirmative action not only factors in your race, but where you live as well... so if your a hispanic that lives in the suburbs.. your gonna have a less chance to gain affirmative action than a hispanic in the city... get my drift

It's amazing that you guys think all URMs get into every school if they are a half-way decent student (not that I am saying you are only a half-way decent student). You are certainly not a lock, but I'd say you have a 1 in 4 chance at yale (this is very high).

"You are certainly not a lock, but I'd say you have a 1 in 4 chance at yale (this is very high)."

I would say if stats are the only thing considered this is the case, however, interviews and essays make a huge difference. If he does well on those two I would say atleast 75% chance
