Hispanic Harvard Chances?

why are you guys competing who has it worst. I really seriously doubt if more than a few of you have actually gone into the real streets, not the stuff you see on TV. Have any of you seen the real Baltimore, DC, Detriot, New York, LA, Houston. Have any of you had to live in a housing project where friends get murdered every day, when you know you have a 50/50 chance of dying on a daily basis. In DC 48% of young black males are currently under the jursidiction of the court, through probabtion or jail. There are over 20,000 hispanic male gang members in the LA area. You guys havent seen grinding hard poverty, the real stuff that guys in music claim. Have you ever been to puerto ricos real inner cities, or even lived in refugee camps in Africa.

Quite whining, the kid who gets a 3.7, 1400 with a family income less then 15,000 isnt more special then the kid who gets a 4.0/1600/ 6-5's on AP/ Completed Multivariable/ Intel + other EC's even if the family income is 100,000+. I lived a hard life, AND SO HAS EVERYONE ELSE. To ME both kids are special, if they have worked hard and maximized their opportunities.

MAXIMIZED THEIR OPPORTUNITIES.

close the thread, game over

Biz17, I agree with you completely. It's not how hard life is, it's what you make of what's given to you.

agreed, i made up all that, i actually am just an upper middle class white kid from nyc...
