Hispanic or Latino : Spain?

On the app, under ethnicity, you can choose Hispanic or Latino. If I am part Spanish ("ETHNICITY-HISPANIC OR LATINO: A person of Cuban, Mexican, Puerto Rican, South or Central America, or other Spanish culture or origin, regardless of race."), is it correct for me to click "Yes" for this category? I plan to put white under my race, as I am more Italian than Spanish.

the rule is the same for the census that is broad enough to include Spain (but not Brazil). you are welcome to check the box (in fact that would be the most truthful), just clarify your actual family origin. note however that being in the hispanic category does not mean you come from an historically underrepresented or disadvantaged group in the US (primarily mexican, puerto rican and dominican).
