Hispanic vs Legacy

Class of 2020 feels like it will be forming very soon, and so, I have begun discussing college apps with my friends. Today, I found out that my friend and I both want to apply to Princeton for early action. Both of us are highly qualified, (test scores, transcripts,ECs, etc.) and we do a lot of the same clubs. As for the bogus advantages that we each have, I am Hispanic (father is Cuban) and both of his parents attended Princeton. So my question is, if we were to both apply to Princeton early, is there a chance we could both get in, without discrimination due to the fact that we are from the same school? And in the event that Princeton decides to only choose one, would he have a bigger advantage for having legacy (and is white), or would I for being Hispanic?

Neither of you will keep the other out. Other factors will do that.

It’s foolish to compare based on those two minor advantages.

According to Princeton CDS section C7, both first generation and alumni relations are “considered”. I would advise you to focus on the “very important” aspects such as GPA, SAT/ACT etc.

being Hispanic won’t affect your application.

You will each gain admittance or not based on your own merits so no use comparing/contrasting applications. Just make a pact to be kind/gracious to one another regardless of the outcomes.
