<p>the answer is very simple....there are more mexican-american applicants than "other hispanic" applicants....that would no doubt account for the difference....secondly, that accurately reflects the u.s. population anyway....mexican-america/chicanos are the largest hispanic faction in the united states....also, look at the hispanics from the cc boards...most are mexican or puerto rican....every now and then there'll be one with caribbean or south american heritage, but most hispanic applicants are of mexican descent...</p>
