Thanks for reading and responding.
I know that my stats are very good for a URM but how much will my weak ECs and Volunteer work hurt me?

yeah the rank deal is a little weird. Basically freshman year I had two Bs in preAP english with the hard teacher. He had two classes and about 5 out of 60 got As in both semesters while the easy teacher had 4 classes and she gave about 40% As. Then my school switched GPA systems that would have left me in good shape because I was going to have a good weighted GPA for next two years based on my advanced courses. But this new GPA system was super inflated for any advanced course (5.33 for an A versus 4.0 for an A in a regular class...4.33 for a B and so on)...so everyone that had their 4.5 from freshman year pretty much kept it with decent grades in the next two years. That explains why my GPA is so close to the capped max of 4.5 and I am 39th. There are 21 number 1s at my school. They only do val and sal in spring of senior year.

I agree. A 2340 and a good GPA plus a hispanic background? That's golden-colleges will fight over you. Plus, your ECs are pretty good. Maybe you can play golf in college for a D-3 team. I think the only colleges you might not get into are CalTech and Harvard, but hey, maybe you will prove me wrong.

I've seen similar stats get rejected. By above 50% chances, that is better chances than a Caucasian w/ 4.0/2400. But I still don't think it's guaranteed. All I meant to say.

Just hope you're out going and come off good at your interviews. It seems to me that one of the two major things that get URMS with 1500 or 2300 and 4.1 is either 1. their e.c suck and even more major 2. bad interviews (like non-URMS. but i mean if your fun to be around and mature, i can't seewhy they wouldn't pick you.

i really can't give a cred. opinion about your E.C, but just make sure that your interview makes up for what you feel your E.C lack. Talk about being a Latino and how much importance it plays in your motiviation to be succesful in life (just don't come off as pretentious).
BTW: what country is your family from?
