History and Political Science?

Anyone with experience in these departments? Are they strong? Very challenging?

Pol Sci at Cornell is called Government.

Each class is different.

Strong in what sense? Rankings/Importance of Research publications/academic (peer) respect in the doctoral world? Of course-Cornell is an ivy after all. Beyond a certain point, it doesn't matter for undergrads.

I can vouch for the excellence of the history professors. I've taken 4 classes and all of my professors have been extremely intelligent, extremely good at teaching and still VERY available to their students.
Haven't taken a government class yet.

I took a few history courses as a bio major. In general, learned a lot. Not very challenging.
