My daughter was accepted for the Archives concentration and she’s THRILLED! I’m so happy for her.

Phanatic, I’m glad you saw the Bloomsbury exhibit; it is fascinating, isn’t it? The woman who runs the Rare Book Room, Karen Kukil, is delightful. She’s been one of the movers and shakers to coordinate the exhibit, the phenomenal visiting Bloomsbury art show in the Art Museum and the series of lectures and events.

If you like the idea of working as a STRIDE in the Sophia Smith Archives, this year a total of three students worked there. Every year the choices for STRIDE jobs vary a bit in the opportunities to work with professors on their research, but I get the impression that this Sophia Smith Archives job is pretty much a regular, so I think it’s reasonable to expect you could apply for it next year (if you go to Smith! ) If you want to PM my daughter, I’m sure she’d be happy to answer your questions; she offered to do that on another thread. She’s LaMariposaAzul on CC.

Glad you feel that we’re friendly! We try!
