History major at UCR

I was accepted a couple months back and I am currently debating whether i should attend UCR or Cal Poly pomona. Ive been on the waitlist for uci and I am not sure i will get in at this rate. So i was wondering if anyone could give me some insight on the history department, i will be transferring over as a junior from a cc.

Thanks in advanced

Hi,

If you are looking to major in social science/humanities I would consider UCR over Cal Poly. I completed my bachelors in history at UCR. The resources and the research opportunities are amazing. The program is strong in US History and European History. The best part is that its a small program compared to business or psychology. This means that you can walk in and get help on the spot. No appts. are necessary. If you are thinking graduate school, you need to go to UCR. Im currently at UCLA working on masters and I have to say that UCR prepared me well. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
