History major/language nerd, deciding on a second major/minor

Realistically, I know a History major won't get me much, so I'm scrambling to find a second major or minor that'll back me up. (Have tossed around Political Science as a possible minor.)

I've always been into languages (experienced with Spanish, and I've taken Arabic and Russian), and I feel that there's a future with that career-wise. However, where would a couple of languages coupled with History lead me? Government work is all I can think of - there's a lot of History majors in the military.

If your primary concern is to improve employment prospects, I don’t think adding political science will help too much in that regard.
How about…
History + a quantitative field (statistics, computer science)
History + core business courses (econ principles, introd accounting, introd marketing, introd management, introd finance, statistics, computing)
History + Middle Eastern Studies (incl. Arabic)
History + Russian/East European Studies (incl. Russian)
History + Latin American Studies (incl. Portuguese to go with your Spanish)
History + Economics
History + Language + Business/Economics
or, instead of history, do a combination of Language/Area Studies (of which history is a component) + Economics/Business

A minor or second major doesn’t always need to be related to your primary major.

The language skills are good if you study it to proficiency, especially for more difficult languages like Arabic or Russian. This would require study abroad, which makes it more difficult to complete 2 majors in traditional disciplines. Acquiring linguistic competence doesn’t need to be done as a formal minor.

I know it is off topic but thought to ask since you are obviously a History junkie like me…
I can’t afford Williams or BC or Holy Cross so looking for best STATE School for HISTORY or Pol Sci
